Nazia Hassan was the first Pakistani singer to have crossed the forbidden India-Pakistan territory (it was during the eighties) to sing the ever popular "Aap Jaisa Koi" in Feroz Khan's 'Qurbani'. This song not only became a youth anthem in India, but in Pakistan as well. Then Nazia gave one more chartbuster album 'Disco Deewane' in collaboration with Zohaib and Biddu (an Indian composer). Biddu came up with one more trend-setting album 'Boom Boom' (1984) – thanks again to Nazia.Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was another big name to popularize Pakistani music impact in Bollywood. "Piya Re Piya Re", "Tere Bina", "Kaisa Yeh Khumar Hai" are some of the many songs rendered by this Sufi King.
Among the present lot, Adnan Sami,Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Fuzon, Strings, Amir Jamal, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, Ali Azmat are the hot favorite Pakistani singers in India – be it in Bollywood or Pop Industry. Atif Aslaf is now a regular performer in the Indian music circuit. With his unmatched vocal and dashing look, Atif Aslam has become a youth icon in India. He came into the limelight with the track "Woh Lamhe" for the film 'Zeher'. Then came the big number 'Aadat' for the film 'Kalyug'. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is another popular Pakistani singer to have enchanted the Indian music lovers with his Sufi-inspired numbers. It was Pooja Bhatt's 'Paap' where he lent his voice to the melodious number 'Mann Ki Lagan'.
